Hello there xxxxx xxxxx,

On March 7, 2002 one of my father's "Little Brother" (Big Brother/Big Sister Organization) killed himself because he had lost his job and could not find another for a very long time. He had lost faith in himself as a father & husband and thought everyone would be better off without him. I am very sadden to know that he is in hell.

Comment:
My heart breaks when I read your email. There is such a terrible pain and suffering for those left behind. His wife, his children, his friends, will forever blame themselves for this selfish act. Such a burden that he has left them. They are NEVER better off without him. I will pray for those who have been left behind, that Our Almighty God will reach out and ease the pain that they are feeling now.

Your Question:
My question to you is: Is there a way to help a soul that is in hell? Are there prayers that I can say to The Almighty that might change his mind and let the soul of this person into heaven?

Answer:
No! Below are only a few verses from God's Word, the Bible, which shows us that as soon as we die, we receive our judgment before God, and sentence is pronounced upon us. For the saints, it is eternity in Heaven with God. For sinners, they will be held in Hell under torments until the time of the great White Throne Judgment of all men (Rev. 20:11), both the just and the sinners. Then Hell and all who are in it will be cast into the Lake Of Fire where they will be held for all of eternity in torments.

Our judgment is set at the time of our death and no amount of prayers for the dead will help them, or change the judgment which has been pronounced upon them by God. There are many verses which tells us that when He judges us that He will not spare nor will he have pity upon us. We have either obeyed God or we have not. There will be no changing of the judgement God pronounces upon us, whatever it may be is fixed for all of eternity.

Heb 9:27 It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

2 Pe 2:4 God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment

Rev. 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Jer 17:10 I the Lord search the heart. I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Ezek 7:3-4 Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee
