If You Could See Me Now

If You Could See Me Now

By Don Moen or Kim Noblitt

Our prayers have been answered
I finally arrived
The healing that had been delayed
Is now realized
No one's in a hurry
There's no schedule to keep
We're all enjoying Jesus
Just sitting at His feet

If you could see me now
I'm walking streets of gold
If you could see me now
I'm walking tall and whole
If you could see me now
You'd know I've seen His face
If you could see me now
You'd know the pain's erased
You wouldn't want me
to ever leave this place
If only you could see me now

My light and temporary trials
Have worked out for my good
To know it brought Him glory
When I misunderstood
Though we've had our sorrows
They can never compare
To what Jesus has in store for us
No language can compare

When Don Moen's nephew died in a car accident, God gave him this song" If You Could See Me Now" as he prepared for the funeral. He says that he has received letters and testimonies from people all over for whom God used this song to affirm His loving kindness and to see them through their own personal tragedies.

To whom it may concern:

I came across your website today and found some incorrect information. The song "If You Could See Me Now" was actually written by Kim Noblitt (who is the worship leader at First Baptist Church Euless, TX. rather than Don Moen. It was written for the funeral of Jeff Johnson who is Roger Breland's brother in law. (Roger is the founder/director of Truth and Kim Noblitt was a member of Truth for approximately 10 years during the late 70s and 80s) Kim was Jeff's favorite singer in the group Truth and when Jeff passed away about 10 years ago, Kim wrote "If You Could See Me Now" for Jeff and his family.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
