Prophecy and Interpretation of Prophecy

By Rev. Jack Barr

There is a huge difference between speaking, or writing, a Prophecy which is from the Holy Lord God, and the interpretation of one of the Lord God's Prophecies by man.

There are many who do not see, or understand, what that difference is.

A Prophecy from the Holy Lord God is a Word Directly from the Holy Lord God to one of His Prophets. The Prophet, as the Bible has shown repeatedly, will speak only the very exact words which the Lord God tells him to speak, and will speak it exactly in the way that the Lord God tells him to speak it.  The Prophet has no choice in how to do this.

Jer 1:7 But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

Ezek. 3:27 - 4:1 and on several chapters.    See How the Holy Lord God not only tells the Prophet what to say to the people, but also exactly HOW the prophet is to say it.

Jer 23:28  The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

2Pe 1:20  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Pe 1:21  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

And if the Prophet does not obey the Lord God, and then makes changes to the Word the Lord God has given him to speak, there is the following.
Re 22:18  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Re 22:19  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

So we may see that every prophecy from the Lord God will be spoken, or published, by the Prophet of God exactly as the Lord gives it to him, and no changes is allowed.  That is how we know that a prophecy such as is given through Raymond, and other Prophets of God, is the exact words that the Lord God has said, without any distortion.

That brings us to the second part, the interpretation of one of God's Prophecies by man.  While God gives the Prophecy, it is Man who tries to understand just what it is that God has said to us by that prophecy.  The meaning is not always clear to us men.

We say to ourselves, "Well, I think that the prophecy is saying this." But we may not always see, or understand, just what it was that the prophecy said.  That is why each of us men may read a meaning into the words of a prophecy which is not correct, and different from what another man thinks that it says.

In time we may say to ourselves " Oh, I did not understand that right.  I see it now saying thus and different." And that is because God did not give us the interpretation. The Prophecy is Always from God, but the Interpretation may not be.

When we say that the Lord God said this, we had better be speaking the exact words the Lord said to us, for then we are speaking as God Said, but when we say that a prophecy is saying this, then we may or may not be right, for then we are speaking as a man. The bible speaks that the Prophecy itself Must be from God and thus will come to pass, as the sign that the Prophet is a True Prophet. But when we say that the Prophecy is saying thus, there is nothing in the Word of God that says that we cannot be wrong in our understanding.

Yes, there are times when the Holy Lord God may give an answer to our prayer, and give us a true interpretation of a Dream, or Vision, that someone had. Just as Joseph was given the correct interpretation of the dream of the Baker, and the king's Wine servant, and of the dreams of the Pharaoh. Or as the Lord answered prayer by Daniel to give interpretation of the King's dream.  When this happens, the interpretation will prove to be correct, for if it comes from God it can only be right.

So there is the Difference between Giving a prophecy from the Lord God, and the giving of an interpretation by man .

To give a Prophecy which is not of the Lord makes one a False Prophet. To give an Interpretation of a prophecy which is wrong, makes one a man.
